Mountain Pumpkins LLC designs and installs premium curated porch pumpkin displays. This policy explains how consultation credits, design orders, cancellations, and refunds work. Our goal is to be fair: you should never pay for work we have not started, and we should be paid for work we have completed. Fall installs run September 21 through October 14.
A free email inquiry does not reserve a spot on our calendar. To hold a spot, you can pay one of two consultation fees:
Both tiers reserve a calendar spot for the season. Both the $99 and the $199 fees are fully credited toward your final design purchase (toward a design purchase; no cash value). You are not paying twice: the fee becomes part of the price of your design. Designs start at $279 and go up from there, depending on your vision, porch size, and design level.
A consultation fee pays for a service we perform. Once the consultation has been performed or design work has begun, the fee is non-refundable. At that point the fee still remains fully credited toward a design purchase (no cash value), but it has no cash value and is not refundable on its own if you choose not to buy a design.
$199 in-person fee: because it covers a scheduled in-person visit, it becomes non-refundable once that visit has been performed or design work has begun.
$99 fee: it stays refundable until we begin design work or complete your email consultation, whichever happens first. After that point it is non-refundable and the credit applies only toward a design purchase (no cash value).
You may cancel a design order for a full refund up to 7 days before your scheduled install. If you book during the week of your install (fewer than 7 days before it), you may cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before your install.
If you cancel after that point (inside the 7-day window, or within 48 hours when you booked during install week), we will retain no more than our actual documented costs already committed for your order (pumpkins, materials, and scheduled labor). We will tell you the exact amount before processing any partial refund, and we refund the rest.
Once an install is completed, it is non-refundable, because the design has been built and delivered to your porch.
Premature pumpkin failure: pumpkins are a perishable natural product. Occasionally one fails early with no outward warning. If a pumpkin in your display goes bad within 72 hours of install, contact us and we will replace that pumpkin at no charge. Because the product is perishable, this is a replacement remedy, not a refund. We do not issue full refunds on completed installs.
Workmanship: if there is a workmanship defect in how your display was built, contact us within 72 hours of install and we will repair or replace the affected elements at no charge.
Utah is deer and squirrel country, and wildlife love pumpkins. Every design includes our Critter Care guarantee at no extra charge, so a hungry deer does not have to ruin your fall. If wildlife (deer, squirrels, birds, or rodents) damages your display, or pumpkins fail early, between your install and Halloween (October 31), contact us and we will replace the damaged pumpkins.
What is covered: replacement of the damaged pumpkins in one visit, up to half of your display, subject to pumpkin availability at the time. Specialty and heirloom pumpkins are seasonal and limited. If an exact variety or color is sold out, we will substitute the closest match we have.
Protected through Halloween only: this guarantee runs through October 31. After Halloween, pumpkins are out of season and we can no longer source replacements, so coverage ends on that date. To use it, send us a photo and we will schedule your replacement visit.
What is not covered: we cannot cover damage from weather, theft, or the normal seasonal softening and aging that all outdoor pumpkins go through; replacement of more than half the display in a single visit; any replacement after October 31; or repeat visits for the same display. If you have a billing concern, please contact us first at hello@mountainpumpkins.com and (801) 900-3221 so we can resolve it. We aim to respond within a couple of business days. This does not waive any rights you have under your card network rules or applicable law.
To cancel or request a refund, email us at hello@mountainpumpkins.com or call (801) 900-3221. Please include your name and the email address used for your order so we can find it quickly. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method.
These terms are presented before payment and are part of our Terms. By completing checkout you agree to these terms.
We may update this policy as our business changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. The terms that apply to your order are the ones in effect on the day you placed it.
