Privacy Policy

Effective June 16, 2026

Last updated June 16, 2026.

Mountain Pumpkins LLC ("Mountain Pumpkins," "we," "us") designs and installs premium curated porch pumpkin displays across Utah, including the Wasatch Front, Park City and Heber, the Ogden area, Logan and Cache Valley, and Orem and Provo. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to serve you:

  • Inquiry and contact form details. When you send us an inquiry or use a contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), and any porch details, vision, or message you include.
  • Email captures. If you join our email list through a form on this site, we store your email address and where you signed up. That is all we keep for marketing purposes.
  • Order details. When you reserve a spot or place a design order, we collect your name, email, phone number, installation address, and the design selections you make (vision, design level, palette, and add-ons) so we can quote, schedule, and build your install.
  • Consultation requests. If you pay for a paid consultation (the $99 spot reservation with email consultation, or the $199 in-person consultation), we keep a record of that consultation and the credit it earns toward a design purchase.
  • Payment information. When payments are live, card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only a confirmation and a reference ID from Stripe.
  • Anonymous usage data. We record anonymous usage and performance events (for example, which pages are viewed, which design options are chosen, and basic page-speed metrics) through privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. These events are not tied to your identity and do not include your name, email, or the contents of your messages.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets only essential cookies needed for the site to function. For analytics we use privacy-friendly, cookieless tools (PostHog and Vercel Analytics) that record anonymous usage and performance events, such as which pages are viewed and which design options are chosen, without setting cookies, without building advertising profiles, and without tracking you across other websites. We do not load the Meta Pixel or any advertising tracker. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first.

How we use your information

We use the information above to respond to your inquiries, to schedule and complete your install, to communicate with you about your order or consultation, to process payment, and, if you have opted in, to send occasional marketing emails about seasonal designs and availability. We do not use your information for any purpose unrelated to these activities.

Marketing emails and your choices

We only add you to our marketing list when you give us your email for that purpose, such as through a signup form on this site. Every marketing email we send includes a clear way to unsubscribe and our business mailing address, consistent with the federal CAN-SPAM Act (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography And Marketing Act).

You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us at hello@mountainpumpkins.com. We honor opt-out requests promptly. Removing yourself from marketing email does not affect order and service messages tied to a booking you have placed.

Sharing and service providers

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed to provide our services. These providers fall into a few categories:

  • Hosting and infrastructure. Vercel hosts this website, and Neon hosts our database.
  • Payment processing. Stripe processes card payments when payments are live.
  • Email delivery. Resend sends our transactional and marketing emails.
  • Analytics. PostHog and Vercel process anonymous, cookieless usage and performance data so we can understand how the site is used. They do not receive your name, email, or message contents, and we do not use them for cross-site tracking or advertising.
  • Security and anti-abuse. Cloudflare helps protect our forms and site, and may receive your Internet Protocol (IP) address when you submit a form.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not run targeted or behavioral advertising or share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your privacy choices

Mountain Pumpkins is a small seasonal business that falls well below the coverage thresholds of the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA), so these choices are not a legal requirement for us. We offer them anyway. As a matter of our own practice (and consistent with the spirit of the UCPA), you may ask us to confirm whether we process your personal data, to provide a copy of that data (access), to correct it (correction), and to delete it (deletion). You may also ask us not to sell your personal data or use it for targeted advertising, though we do not sell personal data or run targeted advertising. To make a request, email us at hello@mountainpumpkins.com or use the form linked below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these choices.

We aim to respond within 45 days of receiving your request, and may extend once by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, and will tell you if we do. If we decline a request, we will explain why and how to appeal; email us with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject and we will respond within 60 days.

How to request deletion of your data

To ask us to delete your personal data, use our data deletion request form at mountainpumpkins.com/privacy/delete, or email us at hello@mountainpumpkins.com. When you submit the form, your request is queued; it does not delete anything automatically. We will verify your request (to make sure it is really you, which keeps someone from deleting another person's data) and then delete your marketing data and review any other records tied to that email, keeping only what the law allows us to retain. We aim to confirm by email. We may keep certain business records (such as completed orders) where we have a legitimate business or legal basis, for example to meet tax and accounting obligations.

Data retention and security

We generally keep transaction and tax records for about seven years (to meet tax and legal obligations) and delete other records when they are no longer needed. We keep marketing emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. When you ask us to delete your data, our manual review may retain records where we have a legitimate business or legal basis to keep them; we do not promise instant or total deletion. We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are directed to adults, and we do not knowingly market to or collect data from minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
